Albuquerque Named No. 1 Best Place To Live and Work as a Moviemaker
For the 3rd year in a row, MovieMaker Magazine has named Albuquerque, New Mexico the #1 big city to live and work as a moviemaker. Go Green Recycling has been a part of the New Mexico film industry since 2007, providing trash, recycling and composting services for productions and production offices. With Netflix taking over the old ABQ Studios, we have seen a huge increase in productions filming around the city. More productions means more jobs for New Mexicans which is always a good thing!
Great weather, tax credits and lots of fun filming locations make Albuquerque and it’s surrounding cities a favorite amongst production companies. Also, New Mexicans are excited to work in the industry which makes for a pleasant work environment and a general sense that we all want to do what we can to keep filming happening here.
We at Go Green Recycling are constantly trying to come up with ways to streamline the landfill / recycling / composting process so that we can further reduce our carbon footprint. Like filming, it is an industry that is constantly growing and evolving and it is important to keep on top of the latest and greatest advances in the field.
2021 is shaping up to be a busy year for New Mexico filming and Go Green Recycling and we are excited to be on this journey together!
